Abstract:Objective: To analyze the input and output of China’’s medical reform, and to provide useful reference for the improvement of China’’s relevant policies and measures in the future. Methods: China national health services survey, China statistical yearbook data, the distribution of residents, health status, health service utilization and medical burden of health care before and after the comparative analysis of health resources. Results: During the period from 2009 to 2016 China health care reform, hospital health workers increased year by year, health professionals in hospitals in 2016 accounted for 64.1% of health professionals; government health expenditure in 2016 74.08% for the treatment of the disease, and for public health accounted for only 15.11%. Compared with 2008, the prevalence rate of chronic diseases increased by 9 percentage points in 2013. Compared with 2009, the number of annual visits increased by 2 billion 440 million, and the number of discharged patients increased by 100 million in 2016. In 2016, 49.36% of the actual medical expenses were borne by the residents. Conclusion: China should put more new health investment and resources into disease prevention and control, to improve the health level and health input and output performance of residents.
