Abstract:Objective: To account the preventive care expenditure of Beijing based on System of Health Accounts 2011 (SHA2011). Methods: Based on SHA 2011 and combined the actual situation in Beijing, it accounted preventive care expenditure of Beijing by financing scheme, health provider and health function. Results: The preventive care expenditure of Beijing was 8.8 billion, 5.46% for current health expenditure and 0.38% for GDP. The expenditure was mainly spent on immunization programs, prevention and controlling of infectious diseases, physical examinations and perinatal cares. The expenditure came from governmental financing, institutions and family health expenditure, the percentages were 42.12%, 28.45% and 29.43%. The Preventive services were mainly provided by hospitals and preventive service organizations, accounting for 67.74%. Conclusions: The preventive care expenditure was stable but the flows of institutions need to be adjusted . The preventive functions provided by institutions were quite different, but the phenomenon with their own incomes to make up for preventive services was widely exist
