Objective: From the perspective of resource distribution, analyz ing health resource allocations in five districts of Ningxia from 2012-2016, so as to provide references for further health resource allocation and plan. Methods: The Resource Distribution Index (IRD) weight of each year was calculated by Entropy Weight method, and the allocation of health resources in Ningxia was analyzed and discussed based on the results of IRD. Results: Ningxia IRD values of each year remain stable, bu t there is a significant gap between regions. Conclusion: The entropy weight method is used to calculate the IRD, which is a new exploration of the research method of health resource allocation. It is suggested to optimize health resources allocation , such as funds, human resources and facilities，gradually narrow the gap between regions
