Abstract:Objective :To analyze the features of oral antidiabetic agents in different grades of hospitals in Minhang District of Shanghai so as to provide reference for clinical rational drug use. Methods: The data of oral antidiabetic agents, DDDs and daily cost (DDC) were analyzed statistically in 16 hospitals in Minhang District by retrospective analysis from December 2015 to November 2016. Results :The total amount of oral antidiabetic drugs purchased from December, 2015 to November, 2006 was 67.5105 million yuan, among which 76.8 9% was from first class hospitals. Acarbose was ranked the first in the first,second and third grade hospitals respectively. The first hospitals have five drugs whose purchase amount between 3 to 8 million .Among them, glipizide controlled release tablets ranked second. The purchase amount of Repaglinide ranked the second in the second and third grades hospitals. In the first grade hospitals, metformin had the highest DDDs(834.02). In terms of DDC,acarbose ranked the first in the first,second and third grades of hospitals. Saxagliptin ranked the second in the second and third grades hospitals. The drug consistency in the first, second and third grades hospitals was 28.13%. Conclusion:Medicines are dispensed to diabetic patients mainly in community. Doctors and patients tend to choose essential drugs with reasonable prices. the first and second grades of hospital use nearly the same drugs in terms of variety and dosage
