Abstract:Objective: To survey the price and service information of the medical institutions which provide elderly care services in Chengdu. Methods: Literature review, in-depth interview, and questionnaire survey were conducted, respectively. Results: At present, there are five types of services provided by the institutions integrating medical and elderly care: care services, nursing services, rehabilitation services, assessment services, and hospice services. Most of medical and elderly care are charged separately. Part of medical and elderly integrating cares cost of the institutions could not be compensated due to the price policy regulation. Among these cares, the rehabilitation services were ranked as the highest priority to be included in the charging list by the government. Conclusion: To solve the problems and meet the needs, we recommend the local government to modify the related price regulation and promote the development of the integrating medical and elderly care.
