Abstract:Based on physics concept and existing research findings, we analyzed the spatial-temporal evolution of medical and economic coordination development in provincial regions of China. Results are as follows: (1) There are some progress on medical and economic coordination development in provincial regions of China. The provincial regions of which coordination development degrees increase are in the majority. (2) Transition class regions are in the majority, while coordinated and unbalanced class regions are in the minority. The medical and economic coordination development degrees are higher in Eastern China than those in Western China. (3) The medical and economic coordination development degrees are agglomerated spatially, but the agglomerate degrees are decreasing in fluctuation. (4) Both high and low values of medical and economic coordination development degrees are agglomerated obviously. As a result, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang compose coordinated development agglomerating area, and Qinghai, Tibet compose unbalanced agglomerating area. (5) Hot and sub-hot regions are mainly distributed in Eastern and Central China, while cold and sub-cold regions are mainly distributed in Western China
