Abstract:Abstract: Objective: To evaluate cost-effectiveness of the health services pack of TCM preventive treatment of disease improving fertility of women, providing evidence for the application of TCM preventive treatment of diseases among women who prepare to get pregnant. Method: 7 city districts and counties was selected by cluster randomized sampling method, and 806 women who prepared to get pregnant was included in this study between december 2015 and January 2016. For intervenient group, besides conventional health education, TCM constitution of women was also identified and djusted by health services pack of TCM preventive treatment of disease. For control group, only conventional health education was applied for women of childbearing age. The pregnancy rate of women was evaluated after 6 months. Economic evaluation was made by calculating the cost-effectiveness ratio. Results: The pregnancy rate of intervenient group and control group was 35.81% and 23.83%,separately. The difference of pregnancy rate between two groups was significant (P=0.0014). The cost to pay for managing fee per pregnancy was 385.46 yuan at intervenient group and 534.90 yuan at control group. Health services pack of TCM preventive treatment of disease has a better cost effectiveness ratio. Besides, the result of this study remains stable when employees’ salaries fluctuated in normal range. Conclusion: Health services pack of TCM preventive treatment of disease has a better effectiveness in improving fertility of women than conventional health education, and the cost-effectiveness of intervention is better than control group.
