Objective: To learn from the experience of environmental impact assessment, and explore the theory and practice of health impact assessment. Methods: With suitability analysis of reference to environmental impact assessment and literature research, the current situation, practices and problems of environmental impact assessment were combed. Results and conclusions: we should as soon as possible fully draw on the experience of environmental impact assessment, establish the prevention concept firmly, set up the health impact assessment system, implement it by the path of health promotion and such actions, improve the relevant safeguard etc.
