Objective: Learn about Andersen’s health services utilization behavioral model (hereinafter referred to as "Andersen’s Model") and its evolution. Methods: This study collected published literatures about Andersen’s model the first time it constructed (1968) till now to classify and analyze. Results: After four stages of evolution, it has developed into a perfect model contains three categories of determinants: a. predisposing characteristics. b. enabling characteristics. c. need based characteristics. Conclusion: Andersen’s healthcare utilization model is one classic theory model in healthcare utilization. Deep understanding of model’s framework is an effective way to analyze factors that influence health services utilization, study access to health services and propose practical recommendations.
